Samsung has invented a fuel cell for laptops which will keep them going continuously for a month. It runs on methanol (also called a direct methanol fuel cell, or DMFC), and produces up to 50 watts of power. Looks like the only drawback is that it's a little big, about the size of a pint milk carton.
