No Peace for Greenpeace

Greenpeace is getting some retort on their ongoing green electronics crusade against Apple (see background.) Seems like the tide is turning; folks realize that the EPEAT standard is much better and industry supported. EPEAT also gives some of Apple's products top rankings.

How bad is it? Well, Martin Veitch had to quote the word "toxic" when he wrote it the story up. Greenpeace also reworked Steve Jobs keynote as well which is available here on YouTube. It does little to further their argument; I thought I was watching a crash edited kung-fu movie written by Quentin Tarantino. But most telling are the comment sections on these sites, with invective thick enough to be sliced up raw:

You'll never convince Greenpeace of their errors. They're ideologically stunted pseudo-hippies that only listen to people that agree with their misguided views.
If Greenpeace wants to pick on a computer company, maybe they should pick one that is not THE most environmentally friendly!!!!
Greenpeace has time and again been shown to be completely lying about how green Apple is (and how not green the companies they say are green really are) by the mass media yet they continue to spread lies and bullshit all over the place.

Ouch, and this is the stuff I could print. Veitch talked about brands having to be careful when to comes to green programs; I agree, I agree.
