From the bitter irony department... Apparently the United States is now being used as a dumping ground for thousands of toxic products that can't be sold in other places in the world to due environmental regulations. The article kicks off with a discussion of how plywood is being imported from China with formaldehyde in it. Ironically, the stuff is outlawed in China, but folks in LA are happy to build $75,000 dollar kitchens out of it. The article is short but our old friend the Treo 650 is mentioned (banned in Europe because of RoHS).
The other big shocker for me was the fact that the EPA has banned no chemical since going after asbestos 18 years ago - and failing.
